Remember, at the end of the day, your wedding is for you and your loved one. It is great to try and please every aunt and cousin, but it will not be possible. Choose the items that make you the happiest and try to forget about what every one else will say.

Remember that it is always better to have too much food and drink than not enough. Nobody will remember what color your flowers were; but if you run out of beer, then all of your friends will be sure to remember that for the rest of their lives.
When planning the food of your wedding, also try to think of what your guests would eat. The most important thing is to learn about any food allergies so that you can either inform them or provide alternatives. You don't want anyone going into anaphylactic shock at your wedding.
Paper plates and plastic silverware can be great options for the reception on a budget. Fine china and fancy linens are nice, but they also come with a high price tag. If you choose to use paper products, your guests will probably never even notice. If they do notice, they likely will not care.
Even if a wedding photograph looks like it isn't what you intended, keep it, at least in digital form. Sometimes the bride and groom will see a shot that they love even if the photographic composition is lacking. The couple are the final say, so leave it up to them to pick and choose their favorites.
You should check the location of your outdoor reception in advance. Make sure the place is as clean as possible. You will need to add some decorations: think about adding more flowers to conceal any unpleasant objects such as trash cans. Have a few friends check the location just before the reception.
Even if you have you dress picked out and purchased, it is smart to keep it at the bridal shop until your wedding day. By putting it in your closet, it could get wrinkly or get stained. Keeping it at the bridal shop ensures that it will be fresh and pressed for your big day!
