Editor's Note: March kicks off a season of big-time showdowns, grudge matches and perhaps a few team-ups. Critic Consensus: Populated by both recognizable faces and fresh blood and packed with action, The Force Awakens remembers the series' former glory while injecting it with renewed energy. In the off, the picture of JJ Abrams sets out to shake Star Wars from its slumber, and reconnect the series with its much-pined- for past. But also, for those enthusiasts who were displeased with all the Prequel Trilogy, The Force Awakens is the much-needed reboot that takes fans back to the Star Wars of their youth.
For anyone who adored the old Star Wars (and I presume that is why we are here) there are a lot of indistinguishable lines and similar scenes from the initial movies, including a cantina, search for a droid, along with a Death Star kind battle...not to mention that scene of which we don't talk. The stunning 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' supplies a new hope for future generations of moviegoers.
However, the remainder of the film largely appeared and felt like exactly that which you would anticipate from a Star Wars movie that was modern. Expectation for another Star Wars was high when we learned it was finally going to occur ever since Walt Disney purchased the rights and Lucasfilms to each of their films. Should you despise the film because of it and do not understand the reason for this topic, I do not know what to tell you.
This will definitely begin to make things right." So talks Max Von Sydow in the very first words of The Power Awakens; and how appropriate that is. InThis will begin to make things right." So talks Max Von Sydow in the initial words of The Power Awakens; and how appropriate that is. In short, The Power Awakens is an enormous triumph, a return to the manners of the original trilogy, and, especially, what so good, and made them so loved.
Star Wars has to get better at politics, not only for the sake of Episode VIII but for the continuity of the show in general. However, for the purpose of this film itself, I simply felt like there is no actual villain, as the villains were so bloody pathetic. I'd even go as far as to state that it's among my favourite Star Wars movies, ever.
